Living God Bible Camp Ministry History

The vision for Living God Bible Camp Ministries began in 2010 and was affirmed in 2012 at a Kampala conference uniting 15 local churches and a Canadian mission team. Rooted in earlier ministry efforts by Dr. Christine Lwanga and her sister, Mrs. Juliet Jumba, the dream was to nurture Christ-centered leaders who would impact Uganda for generations.

From 2012–2018, consultations with church and community leaders refined the mission, highlighting the urgent need for spiritual renewal amid Uganda’s growing social and family challenges.

In January 2018, Dr. Lwanga, inspired by thriving Bible Camps in Canada, returned home to launch the ministry. With local partners, a strategic plan was approved, and by year’s end, six pastors led the very first week-long Living God Bible Camp in Uganda.

What began as a vision is now a movement dedicated to raising a legacy of people who love and honor God in Uganda and beyond.

Mission

The purpose of Living GOD Bible Camp ministry is to use camping to establish a Christ-centered character by witnessing, discipleship and leadership development at personal, family, and corporate (groups, institutions and companies) levels.

Statement of Faith

WE believe in the Triune God, the Transcendence of GOD and unity of the body

WE believe that All humans were created in GOD’s image (inherent equal human dignity and worth).

WE believe that the Family is a Divine entity through which we cultivate transformative relationships –supporting sustainable personal and social well-being.

We believe in a Spirit centered life, to support discipline, moral ethics, accountability, growth and development in character towards integrity.
