Camps
Each camp tells a story of faith, fellowship, and growth. Discover our journey below.
January 2019
From 15th–17th January 2019, Living God Bible Camp Ministries held its first orientation, bringing together 15 Trainers of Trainers from seven Kampala churches. Over two and a half days, participants engaged in worship, devotion, and reflection using My Utmost for His Highest, while also learning Living God Bible Camp Ministries’ vision, mission, and camp procedures. Fellowship moments included a scenic walk and a lively campfire. The event closed with planning for the first Bible Camps in May 2019. Attendees described the sessions as uplifting, unifying, and inspiring. This marked the official launch of Living God Bible Camp Ministries’ ministry work in Uganda.
17th–18th January 2019
On 17th–18th January 2019, Living God Bible Camp Ministries hosted its first Married Couples Encounter Retreat at Shangrai Hotel, Muyenga, Kampala. Five couples fully participated in this enriching two-day retreat designed to strengthen marriages through rest, reflection, and renewal.
The retreat created space for couples to step away from daily routines, focus on each other, and gain fresh insight into their relationships. Through guided reading, focused talks, and practical exercises, couples explored Christian-based principles for building enjoyable, fruitful marriages and began a renewal process aimed at lasting impact.
May 2019
From 6th–8th May 2019, Living God Bible Camp Ministries hosted its second Training Camp at PDN Centre under the theme “I have fought the good fight…” (2 Timothy 4:7). Thirty-five trainers and volunteers gathered for spiritual refreshing, Bible study, and practical preparation to run future camps for children, teens, and young adults. The program combined teaching, devotion, and experiential learning with fun life-skill activities such as candle-making, first aid, voice training, and aerobics. This camp strengthened Living God Bible Camp Ministries’ leadership base and equipped participants to guide upcoming camps that will impact the next generation for Christ.

We were reminded of the centrality of Purpose, effectiveness, and efficiency as we serve.
There was a visit to Nsangi campsite (Dec 7), and;
A Training of Trainers day camp (Dec 8). The TOT messages challenged us to Run the race to win focused on God our creator and systematically reach out to young people with Purity is Possible (PIP) message especially considering the on-going shocks with the Homosexuality promotion and pending legislation to curb LGBTQ activities and impact in the Uganda community.
Families gathered across multiple sites in Kampala and beyond for two Family Day Camps (Dec 10 & 13), while the camp community joined in a unifying church service on Dec 11.
The season closed with a Young Adults Half-Day Workshop (Dec 17), focusing on Christ-centered self-leadership and lifestyle. The Young Adults Canada and Uganda dialogue, cultivating an authentic relationship as a leader was emphasized.
The 2022 program strengthened leadership, empowered families, and inspired young believers — setting a firm foundation for future camps.
